BTFC History

Battle Baptist Football Club (now Battle Town FC) has its
origins in 2004 when the elders of Battle Baptist Church gave
their support for a church team to play in the local East Sussex
Football League. The Club was blessed with success. With an
emphasis on enjoyment and fair play, it attracted more and
more people to play and volunteer.

In 2020, the Club applied to become a Community Interest Club,
reflecting its desire to serve Battle and the surrounding areas.
However, Battle Baptist Church is still committed to directing
and supporting the activities of the football club.

BTFC’s driving ambition is to engage with the local community
for health, social, and well-being reasons. Inspiring people to
get involved in football and encouraging participation in
physical activity, for everyone in the community.

Our club consists of 3 senior all-age men’s teams playing
football in the Mid-Sussex and East Sussex divisions, a
veterans team, youth football, walking football for men &
women, and a running club, that also offers couch to 5K
courses, for running beginners.
