Providing a Positive Welcome

The FA encourages Clubs to make available to all players aged under 18, & their parents, information about how the Club & its teams are run, who is responsible for what etc. This is set out in the FA document “Providing a Positive Welcome to your club”, which includes  A club Check List of “Who we are & what we do”. All of this information for BTFC is on the Club website or in our Welcome & Registration leaflets for the Adult Teams & for the Youth Team. We also plan to provide information at meetings with players & their parents.

Adult Team home games are played on Saturday afternoons at Battle Recreation Ground TN33 0HB for the First & Second Teams (on alternate weeks) & at Battle Sports Centre (Claverham Community College) TN33 0HT for the Third Team. Kick off for League games are normally 3 pm, but during British Winter Time, they come forward to 2 pm. Kick off for Cup Competitions start 30 mins before league games throughout the season. For spectators, there is wheel chair access to the top banks of both pitches at Battle Rec & Claverham, which provide good viewpoints.

All the Safeguarding support for 16 & 17 year olds in adult teams can be found on the Youth Respect & Safeguarding & Youth in Adult Team pages of this Club website. This includes the link to the Complete FA Safeguarding downloads directory, which sets out DBS checks, Safeguarding Training, Child Safeguarding policy, Reporting Safeguarding concerns, Anti-bullying policy, Social Media policy, Ratio of Coaches to players, Managing Additional needs, Equality policy & Whistleblowing policy.

All other Club policies can be found on the Club Policies page of this Club website, including the Data Protection/GDPR policy, Club Complaints policy, Respect Codes of Conduct.
